My venture to make a blog network started with writing one blog about SEC Football, then during the off season, I started a blog about all sports, then I kept going, until now I have 8. Some have great editors, like 7IS, Stacheketball, and SECFB.

Other blogs are projects that have seen much better days, but I believed in them to be a part of this venture. SMF, is a football blog that does not have writers or an editor, even though everyone loves the NFL. That is odd. H4D has been my place for idiocy, and funny pictures. I will keep that up periodically. Pwned Video was a good idea, but that took way too much time to try to make awesome. When the time is right, it will be a good site, even though the interweb is already saturated with such nonsense. It’s a good thing I like nonsense.

I was going to make step #2 be a huge jump in social media, but somethings changed. Digg changed, and I was hoping it was going to get better… but it didn’t. Ballhype died, and that broke my heart a little. Tweeting is great, but it seems a lot like navel gazing. I know it is different for each person. I respect that, but for me, I have tried it a million different ways, and my results are always of little effect. Facebook is awesome, but my “Inner Circle” either does not care about sports or blogging ( People in Alabama ), or my sports blogging friends are already in love with the 20 or so blogs that they already love.

So social media got tricky to me, but I know it is up to me to rock my blogs with quality content, and I will get the amount of social media love that is due to me. Maybe it will be little, maybe it will be more, but it is up to me. I have been blogging for over 3 years now.

That is what brings me to this blog. This will be my new baby. I will not leave NESW Sports, which is the only thing I might be known for. I will still blog there, but this is step 2. I made all my blogs a subdomain of NESW Blogs last year. Now I need to make this blog into something. This needs to be the focal point of the whole network. What will it be? It will be everything I can make it.

( Get used to awesome stuff like this, for no good reason )

I have now taken my entire blog network, and switched it over to the NESW blogs domain. Basically, all the URLs will have “.neswblogs.com” in them, just like when you go to a “.blogspot.com” URL.

What does this mean? It means that I am crazy, and I trust that I did it correctly, and the blogs will not fall off the face of the internet, because I did something horribly wrong during the move. I think that, in the distant future, having all the blogs under one URL, will help strengthen the network, and help with social media stuffs.

What does this mean to you? Nothing. There is a redirect on all the sites. If you click on the old URL, you will still get to the page you need.

Here is a list of the new URL’s
NESWsports.com is now Sports.neswblogs.com
Homework4dummies.com is now h4d.neswblogs.com
Pwnedvideo.com is now PWNEDvideo.neswblogs.com
SECFootballblogger.com is now secfb.neswblogs.com

The rest of the network already had the NESWblogs.com address .

Thank you so much for reading. I really mean that. Without great readers, and fellow bloggers, this would not be so much fun, and well worth all this hassle.

The New addition to the NESW Blogs Network family is the NFL blog “Stache Mouth Football“. The blog is kicking off today, and should be tons of fun. The Super Bowl is in a couple days, and the NFL off-season is the most active of the major sports. In related news, after careful consideration, I decided to cut back the number of projected blogs in the network. I am going to concentrate on

Improving the staff of writers on each blog.

Improving the look and feel of the network.

Improve the way the blogs work together.

Focus more on highlighting the great work on the blogs.

I might add a couple more in the future, but I want to improve the network before I add on.

My personal goal is to have all of the improvements done by April. That is perfect timing for the MLB blog “7th Inning Stache” to take off.

If you are interested in writing, please let me know. Write me EthanJaynes-at-Comcast.net . I am 100% committed to making this blog network work. I want writers that are talented and excited to get in here and make a name for themselves. I will make every attempt to highlight your work. That is the point of the Network. I want to help more bloggers, like myself, to reach their goals.

It is lead by the Editor-in-Chief David Chalk from Bugs and Cranks fame, and he has been a contributor on Big League Stew, which is an NESW Sports favorite.

NESW Blogs is a brand new blog network. When the network is complete, it will consist of 15-20 blogs. The blogs will be 50% sports and 50% entertainment/gadgets . Most of my background and connections are in sports blogging, that is why there will be a good bit of sports.

The current blog lineup can be found here.

This main site “NESW Blogs” will consist of network updates, and job postings. In the future this blog will be dynamic. It will tie the network together, and will link throughout the blogosphere. First we have to get to that point.

At first glance, this “blog Network” does not look that big. I completely understand, but Rome was not built in a day. I want to do this right, and not cut any corners. I plan on adding a new blog to the network every other week. It will not be long till’ the network is complete and the synergy starts to heat up.

If you are interested in blogging and getting your name out there, there will be plenty of places to write. Write us @ NESWblogs-at-gmail.com and tell us what your passion is. Subscribe to this blog, and keep up with the new blogs and writer openings.

If you are interested in advertising throughout the network as it grows, please email us @ NESWblogs-at-gmail.com
