Maybe osx would have been a better choice. The ipad pro is being touted as a productivity tablet, but it's running ios which will hamper that productivity. Using an app called utm, it's possible to run mac os x leopard — and earlier versions of apple's operating system — in a virtual machine.

There were some articles describing how to run an older version of mac os (leopard) within a virtual machine on an ipad published in. The new ipad pro is powered by the a12z processor and features a new camera setup on the back. It's technically possible though, as both ipad and macbooks are now arm based (with the release of m1 chips), and big sur runs on macbooks. No as of now, there is no way to run macos on your ipad pro.
