Cross Nation Begins 2022 With Dominant Wins At Charlotte Opener

CONCORD, N.C. – The UNC males’s and girls’s cross nation groups each took residence first-place finishes on Friday morning in a season-opening meet with Charlotte, Georgia and William & Mary at Frank Liske Park.
 
Racing on a 5K course within the Charlotte Opener, the Tar Heels positioned six of the highest seven finishers on each the lads’s and girls’s sides to start out the 2022 season strongly. 
  

On Friday, Carolina captured the ladies’s win with 16 factors, topping Charlotte (61), William & Mary (76) and Georgia (94). The UNC males had been equally dominant with 20 factors, beating Charlotte (42), William & Mary (93) and Georgia (106).
